Monsoon vigorous over coastal A.P.

CHENNAI: A deep depression has formed over northwest and westcentral Bay and lies centred at 28/0300 UTC near Latitude 18.5{+o} north and Longitude 87.0{+o} East, at about 200 kilometres southeast of Puri. It is likely to intensify further and move in a west northwesterly direction and cross Orissa coast between Gopalpur and Paradeep close to Puri by midnight of today 28th June 2007.

Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema and active over Telangana. Rainfall occurred at most places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, .

FORECAST (valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka and north coastal Andhra Pradesh, at many places over south interior Karnataka, rest Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and L akshadweep and at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and North interior Karnataka.
