“Withdraw move on Muslim quota”

HYDERABAD: Senior BJP leader Ch.Vidyasagar Rao has urged the Government to withdraw the move to promulgate an ordinance for providing four per cent reservations for Muslims and wanted the issue to be discussed in the Assembly before the proposal is considered. Addressing a press conference here, he criticised the Government for trying to bring an ordinance to provide religious-based reservations.

On land disputes which have been pending before the courts, he urged the Government to request the Chief Justice of the High Court to constitute a special bench for resolving themMeanwhile State BJP president Bandaru Dattatreya criticised the Government for failing to protect wakf properties.
