Dubai: Iran will release the 18 Indians arrested for allegedly fishing off the coast of an island that is disputed between Iran and the UAE. The Indians were aboard three UAE boats that were seized in Gulf waters on Monday. Indian Ambassador in Tehran, Manbir Singh, was informed on Thursday by the Iranian Foreign Affairs Ministry that the Indian crew would be released, an envoy told PTI over phone from Tehran. He said “the 18 Indian crew members are well and currently lodged in the Bandar Langeh jail in the port city of Bandar Abbbas.” — PTI
