Raj Randhawa still ahead

Coimbatore: The winds played rough and made life miserable for the seasoned amateurs, but Delhi’s Raj Randhawa hung on to his slender one stroke advantage with a five-over 77 on the penultimate day of the LG Coimbatore amateur golf championship for the GKD Memorial Gold Cup at the Coimbatore Golf Club course here on Thursday.

OIL India’s Simarjeet Singh closed in on the leader with a three-over 75.

The 31-year-old from Noida, who incidentally brought in the day’s best card, now shares the second spot with Moin Malak.
