BANGALORE: Former first class cricketer Rajesh Kamath will coach Karnataka in the forthcoming domestic season — 2007-08, according to a KSCA press release. The elevation of Kamath to the senior post was on the cards as regular coach Venkatesh Prasad is now busy in his role as bowling coach of the Indian team and he has also got a one-year contract from the BCCI. Kamath has been a regular coach with the National Cricket Academy and has also coached the State’s junior teams. His first assignment with the senior State team will be during its forthcoming tour of Australia. — Principal Correspondent
