NEW DELHI: Two persons have been arrested at Jakhira here on charges of manufacturing, stocking and selling tobacco pouches carrying fake logos of well-known brands. Acting on a tip-off, Satnarayan (42) and Nafees Ahmed (49) were arrested on Wednesday and a unit producing tobacco pouches with fake logos of Rajnigandha, Tulsi, Baba and Pass was sealed. The accused were causing huge losses to the tobacco companies and the State exchequer besides cheating the consumers. During interrogation, the accused purportedly told the police that they received orders for producing the fake pouches from Nepal.
