Steps to check pollution in paper mills

KOCHI: The Central Pulp and Paper Institute (CPPRI), Saharanpur, a research institute functioning under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL), a public limited company based in Kochi.

The MoU aims at mutual cooperation and support between the two organisations for controlling pollution in paper mills by using ferrous chloride with hydrated Titania manufactured by CMRL for removing colour and toxic elements from effluents.
