HYDERABAD: President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was accorded a warm welcome on arrival here in the city on a day’s visit, late on Thursday evening by a special presidential aircraft.

Among those who received him were Governor Rameshwar Thakur, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly K.R. Suresh Reddy, Chief Secretary J. Harinarayan, Director-General of Police M.A. Basith and Ministers Ponnala Laxmaiah (Major Irrigation) and M. Mukesh Goud (Backward Classes Welfare).
