Isolated rain in T.N.

CHENNAI: Yesterday’s deep depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal crossed Orissa coast near Puri between 05-30 and 06-30 hours IST of today 29th June 2007 and lay centered at 08-30 hours IST of 29th over land east of Bhubaneswar. Likely to move in north-westerly direction and weaken gradually.

Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka and active over Telangana.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala and coastal and south interior Karnataka, at many places over Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu.

FORECAST (valid until Sunday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over Kerala, coastal Karnataka and north coastal Andhra Pradesh, at many places over interior Karnataka and rest Andhra Pradesh and at a f ew places over Lakshadweep. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
