Indian paddlers disappoint

New Delhi: Indian paddlers’ campaign at the ITTF ProTour China Open barely lasted for a day as all of them crashed out of the tournament after losing their first round matches at Nanjing, China on Friday.

The results: Anirban Nandi lost to Bastion Steger 11-8, 4-11, 3-11, 11-8, 7-11, 8-11; Pathik Mehta lost to Qi Chen 7-11, 9-11, 6-11, 8-11; Anthony Amalraj lost to Ma Long 8-11, 6-11, 7-11, 3-11; Jitender Kumar Gidla lost to Gao Ning 11 -7, 11-5, 11-6, 11-9; Subhajit Saha lost to Jeam-Michael Saive 11-9, 11-7, 11-2, 11-6. — PTI
