Jamui: A tractor driver was shot dead and three policemen were injured during an encounter with Maoists in the district on Friday. The officer in-charge of Sikandara police station Vishwajeet Singh and two constables were wounded in the encounter in Gurmaha forest area under Laxmipur police station, police said. The gun-battle took place when police teams were engaged in a combing operation.
