Funds to boost facilities in hospitals in Karur district
KARUR: A sum of Rs.19.92 lakh has been sanctioned to the District Health Society to improve facilities, other than medical, available for patients at various hospitals across the district.
The amount would be spent for getting equipment to provide protected water, LPG connection and stove, minor medical equipment, etc.
While the Government Hospital, Karur, would get Rs.2.92 lakh, the 29 primary health centres would get Rs.50,000 each, the Kulithalai, Krishnarayapuram and Aravakurichi taluk hospitals would get Rs.50,000 each.
A sum of Rs.10,000 would be spent in each of the 158 village panchayats to create awareness on preventing spread of diseases.
