Chennai: N. Srinivasan was unanimously re-elected president of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) during the state association’s annual general body meeting here on Saturday. K.S. Viswanathan was unanimously elected secretary. U. Prabhakar Rao, K.V. Aiyappan, K. Radhakrishnan and C.R. Vijayaraghavan were elected vice-presidents (City). Prabhakar Rao secured the highest number of votes — 152. For the post of the joint secretary, Dr. G. Natarajan (143 votes) defeated K.L. Balaji 45. S. Ganesan (132) beat Shanthi Kumbhat (55) in the election for the treasurer. D. Julius Vijayakumar was unanimously elected assistant secretary. R.I. Palani of the Egmore Club and P.S. Raman from the Grove CC, both 148, polled the highest votes in the election for the city executive committee members. The General Body acknowledged Egmore Exelsiors secretary S.R. Jagannathan’s feat of attending 80 successive meetings of the TNCA spread over 63 years. The election results: President: N. Srinivasan (elected unanimously); Secretary: K.S. Viswanathan (elected unanimously). Vice presidents (City): (Votes polled 188): U. Prabhakar Rao 152, K.V. Aiyappan 146; K. Radhakrishnan 142; C.R. Vijayaraghavan 133. Victor Fernandez (58) and R. Prabhakar (27) did not get elected. Treasurer: (Votes polled 188 — one vote declared invalid) S. Ganesan 132 bt Shanthi Kumbhat 55. Joint secretary: (Votes polled 188): Dr. G. Natarajan 143 bt K.L. Balaji 45. Assistant secretary: D. Julius Vijayakumar (elected unanimously). Executive committee (City): R.I. Palani (Egmore Club) 148; P.S. Raman (Grove CC) 148; K.A. Sankar (Eagle CC) 147; K. Sriram (Central United Club) 141; V.P. Narasimhan (Minerva CC) 141; M.K. Vinod Kumar (National UC) 134; K. Murali (TSR MSC) 133; M. Velu (Nungambakkam SC) 127; R.V. Radhakrishnan (Booksellers) 120; N.S. Shankar (Aruna CC) 51, L. Rajkumar (SPIC) 52, M. Balaji (Jupiter) 53, and T.V. Sheshadri (Prithvi) 63, did not get elected. Vice-presidents (Districts): N.R. Manivannan (Theni) and K.G. Muralidharan (Tiruchi) elected unanimously. Executive committee (Districts): P.R. Ramakrishnan (Coimbatore); P.K.G. Subramanian (Namakkal), R. Elango (Erode), R.
