Orthopaedic Update inaugurated

Kakinada: The need for the surgeons to update their surgical skills has been stressed by several speakers at the inaugural of the 13th Orthopaedic Update 2007 organised under the aegis of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of Rangaraya Medical College here on Saturday. Inaugurating the two-day conference K V.Subbarao, president of AP Chapter of Indian Orthopaedic Association, said doctors should keep abreast of their knowledge and the CME programmes would go a long way in helping them to update their skills.

C Hanumantha Rao, head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology and organising secretary of the conference, said live surgical demonstrations were being organised as a part of the Orthopaedic updates. Dr S. Raj Kumar, Principal of Medical College, released the souvenir.
