New IG assumes charge

Thrissur: P. Vijayanand has taken charge as Inspector General of Thrissur range. An IPS officer of the 1985 batch, Mr. Vijayanand had served as Superintendent of Police, Thrissur, Deputy Inspector General (Training), Thiruvananthapuram range and Vigilance IG. The Thrissur range has Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram districts within its jurisdiction.
