Tributes paid to freedom fighter

NEW DELHI: Several eminent personalities including Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Nehru Brigade volunteers and Muslim clerics paid tributes to freedom fighter and former Delhi Metropolitan Council chairman Meer Mushtaq Ahmed on his sixth death anniversary on Friday.

A special function was organised by the Meer Mushtaq Ahmed Memorial Society at his mazaar near Ferozeshah Kotla here. Ms. Dikshit presented an insignia to Nehru Brigade chief organiser Ramesh Dutta.
