Karshaka congress march on July 4

KANNUR: Kerala Pradesh Karshaka Congress (KPKC) will take out a march to the Chief Minister’s residence on July 4 to raise its demands, including compensation of Rs.10 lakh each to the families of farmers who had committed suicide. KPKC district president K.C. VIjayan said in a press release here that farmers who had suffered crop and property destruction during the monsoon calamities should be offered compensation on the basis of the real cost of the crops and properties damaged. — Staff Reporter
