Reservoirs full

VIZIANAGARAM: The district received widespread rains during the last eight days registering a record 196.1 per cent variation than the normal.

The total average rainfall received for the month of June was 379 mm against the normal of 128 mm. As a result of the heavy rains, the water level at Thatipudi was being maintained at 290 feet (FRL: 297 feet) by lifting the gates to a few inches as the inflows into the reservoir was heavy, said AE Ch. Satyanarayana. The water level in Andhra reservoir was 141.60 metres.
