Ban goes

The BWSSB has from July 1 withdrawn the temporary ban on new water supply connection.

The ban had come into effect from April 1 because of the water crisis then.

The BWSSB said in a press release here on Saturday that it had also relaxed the compulsory rainwater harvesting (RWH) for houses on sites measuring 20’ X 30’, houses in slum areas, those on tank bed/low-lying areas and houses on sites considered to be in extraordinary condition by Chief Engineer (Maintenance) after an inspection.
