“Third Front, Left can come together”

NEW DELHI: AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa has said the Congress was “untouchable” but it was “certainly possible” for the Third Front and the Left to come together in the future.

There might be no other alternative to the Third Front, christened the United National Progressive Alliance, other than abstaining from the Presidential poll, she said.

In an interview to ‘Times Now,’ she said: “ ... You see, this is a collective decision” when asked whether the Front would abstain rather than support the NDA-backed independent Bhairon Singh Shekhawat. — PTI
