Shanwar, Sreedevi triumph

KOCHI: Ernakulam’s P.K. Shanwar and LIC’s K.R. Sreedevi won the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively in the first RSC all-Kerala carrom tournament which concluded at the Regional Sports Centre here on Sunday.

The results (all finals): Men: Singles: P.K. Shanwar (Ekm) bt Anish (Alp) 25-10, 25-8. Doubles: Abdul Rehiman/ Sulaiman (Kzd) bt Muneer/ Hyder Ali (Kzd) 25-20, 22-25, 25-22.

Women: Singles: K.R. Sreedevi (LIC) bt Sumathi (CIFT) 25-1, 25-0. Doubles: Vijayakumari/ Sumathy (CIFT) bt Chithra/ Sreedevi 25-11, 25-7.
