Mangani tourism fete to be held in Karaikal

Karaikal: The Puducherry Government will organise a four-day Mangani tourism festival here from July 4 to 8 to attract tourists, said N.Vasantha Kumar, Karaikal Collector, here on Monday.
The Collector said that the festival would be conducted by the Tourism department to attract tourists and pilgrims to visit the Karaikal Ammaiyar temple here and also the famous Lord Saneeswara Bhagawan temple at Tirunallar.
He pointed out that several entertainment programmes including Bharathanatyam and light music programme would be conducted during the festival.
Besides, an expo on handicrafts and food items would also be conducted. The festival will be inaugurated on at the new municipal grounds here on Wednesday evening.
