Film Chamber to tackle woes of industry

HYDERABAD: Newly-elected president of Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce M.S. Reddy has said that soon they will come out with an action plan to tackle woes of the industry and help improve the lot depending on it.

At a press conference here on Monday, the ‘Sahaja Kavi’, as Mr. Reddy is popular, pledged to strive for improving things in the industry. Expressing his gratefulness for being elected unanimously as president, he said he would take his team of office-bearers into confidence while solving problems and also sought the media’s help in coming up with suggestions.Others who were elected on Sunday included D. Suresh Babu, Mandava Krishnachand and B. Amarnaath as vice-president, B. Shivaramakrishna and M. Venkateswara Rao as honorary secretaries, K. Ashok Kumar, K. Murali Mohan and G. Maheswara Reddy as honorary joint secretaries. P.V. Ravi Kishore was elected treasurer. Sector Council chairmen include C. Kalyan (Producers), K. Ramasubba Reddy (Exhibitors), V. Nageswara Rao (Distributors) and Pradeep K. Shah (Studios).
