Correspondent

MACHILIpatnam: Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Jasti Chalameswar has urged advocates to keep the dignity of the judiciary intact under all circumstances.

Addressing a felicitation meeting organised by the Machilpatnam Bar Association here on Monday, Justice Chalameswar said priority should be given to quick disposal of cases relating to the poor and needy.

President of the bar association Lankisetti Balaji presided over the felicitation function.

He said since judiciary was a vital wing of Indian Constitution, those in the profession must keep it away from evils like corruption and strive to retain a clean image.

Senior lawyers Polavarapu Venkateswa Rao, K. Bhima Sankara Rao, M. Lakshmipathi, S. Chalapati rao and Y. Pandu Ranga Rao were others who spoke.
