On location: Actor Venkatesh arriving for shooting of the film ‘Tulasi’ in Alladurg of Medak district on Tuesday.
Alladurg (Medak): After success of the film ‘Prema’, parts of which was shot at the famous CSI church, Suresh Productions chose this mandal headquarters town for the shooting of their next venture. The movie, said to be a family entertainer, is tentatively named as ‘Tulasi’ in which Venkatesh and Nayanatara are playing the lead roles. The shooting for the movie began here on Tuesday and will continue for a couple of days. Venkatesh, Nayanatara, Ahuti Prasad, Sivaparvathi and Vijay Kumar are camping here for the shooting. Producer of the film Suresh told reporters that the movie is directed by Bhadra fame Boyapati Sreenivas, music by Devisri Prasad and camera by Balamaurugan. Suresh said that Medak has many natural locations like the mansion. The mansion belongs to Anil Kumar Reddy, a local political leader. The production crew have given the old palatial but rustic residence of the erstwhile Maharaja a facelift. A fighting scene was shot on the first day. Villagers who gathered in large numbers outside the mansion were kept at bay with the help of the police and security personnel of the production house. Srikanth, who is studying first year intermediate was elated to see the hero and the heroine in the village. He said that this was the first time that any film was shot in the vicinity. The villagers, despite embargo on their movement have no regrets.
