HYDERABAD: Wingers Kallapa with four goals and Nanaiah with six fashioned Bangalore Sports Training Centre’s impressive 16-0 win over Trichur STC in the South Zone Sports Authority of India inter-STC hockey tournament for seniors at the Begumpet Police Stadium here on Tuesday. Rafique, Nitin Thimmaiah, M.N. Nachappa, Deepak, Nilesh and Mudappa with one goal apiece completed the tally for the winner. In another match, Secunderabad STC recorded an emphatic 7-1 win over Kollam thanks to striker M.A. Kranthi Kumar’s three goals. He was given good support by T.N. Sudhir, Veer Singh, G. Prasanna Kumar, and G. Vijay Kumar who struck once each. For the loser, Vineet Emanuel reduced the margin. Chennai STC scored a 5-2 victory over Eluru. V. Ramesh Banna, R.S.P. Rajesh, David, Phillip Martin and A. Shyam Kumar scored for the winner. For the loser Durga Prasad and Md Ghalib reduced the margin. Pondicherry drubbed Myladuthurai 10-1 with Balaji (4), Salamuthu (3), Jagannathan (2) and Nishant (1) being the scores for Pondicherry while Mohd Sadiq scored for the vanquished. — Principal Correspondent
