Chief Minister showers praise on Minister
The golden jubilee celebration of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board saw Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi showering praise on his ministerial colleague and Electricity Minister Arcot N. Veerasamy.
Noting that the Minister was well versed in the subject, Mr. Karunanidhi pointed out that he knew Mr. Veerasamy’s long association with the Electricity Board. He recalled that during K. Kamaraj’s tenure as the Chief Minister, Mr Veerasamy’s inputs had helped him (Mr. Karunanidhi) to level charges against the then establishment in the Electricity Board. Realising the strength of his arguments, Kamaraj had constituted an inquiry panel against the officials concerned.
