They got the guest list right

If you are releasing a book on baby rearing, who would you call as the chief guest? Someone famous or someone appropriate? The Child Development Clinic of Mehta Children’s Hospital, Chetpet, thought smart and got both – a star and her baby.

At a Continuing Medical Education programme held late last month on ‘Child Development and Early Intervention’ at the hospital, a booklet ‘Rock- a- bye baby’ was released. It was actor Devyani and director Rajakumaran’s baby girl Iniya, about one-and-a-half years old, who received the first copy of the book.

Penned by Dr. Anuradha Srinivasan of the Child Development Clinic, the handbook compiles some age-appropriate structured play activities for babies. Incidentally, it was at this hospital that Devyani had a caesarean and was delivered of her baby pre-term late last January.
