Regulatory orders

The Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore City, C.K. Gandhirajan, has clamped regulatory orders under Section 41 of the Madras City Police Act prohibiting public assemblies, dharnas, demonstrations and processions in all the 15 police station limits till July 16 midnight.

The orders are aimed at preventing breach of public peace and tranquillity by persons belonging to different political, social, economic and religious ideologies, a release said.
