Delhi High Court directive to UGC

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has directed the University Grants Commission to list the Noida-based Amity University on its website.

Justice B. D. Ahmed directed the Commission to include Amity in the non-statutory category. He also asked UGC to conduct periodic inspections and point out deficiencies if any.

Amity had approached the Court accusing UGC of adopting an “unreasonable” approach by not listing it on its website. It submitted that its students were facing problems in pursuing courses with foreign universities as a result of non-listing on the website.
