HYDERABAD: The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has slammed party leaders for joining issue with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders over the implementation of GO 610 and advised them to maintain restraint. Addressing a press conference, Congress MLAs B. Vedavyas, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and D. Manikya Vara Prasada Rao, said the promise to implement GO 610 was incorporated in the election manifesto of the Congress. The Congress Government was only implementing one of its promises, and there should be no two opinions on it. Referring to the observations of some coastal leaders of the party against the GO’s implementation, they said such wordy duels would not help the party in Telangana region. Everyone should observe restraint and avoid igniting regional passions. Referring to the current tour of the TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, to the US, they alleged that it was meant merely to raise funds for his party. Having lost the people’s confidence here, Mr. Naidu seemed to be intent on opening an US wing of his party to divert people’s attention from his failures, they remarked.
