Aid to SHGs

KANCHEEPURAM: A sum of Rs.1.75 lakh was distributed to members of self-help groups and individuals under income generation activities scheme through village forest council at Kayar village near Tiruporur recently.

While Rs.75000 was granted as loan to Vivekanandar Men Self-help Group, Rs.70,000 was extended to Mullai Women SHG and Rs.5000 each to six individuals for taking up economic activity. Hitherto, loans were disbursed to 1300 persons through the VFC, according to a release.
