MAYHEM IN ISLAMABAD: Radical students take position in a bunker outside the Lal Masjid in Islamabad during an exchange of fire with security forces on Tuesday. Nine people, including a soldier, two Islamist students and a photo-journalist, were killed and 150 injured in the clashes. The conflict is the culmination of a five-month-long stand-off between the militant mosque-cum-seminary and the Pakistan Government. —
