SBI withdraws petition

New Delhi: State Bank of India, the country’s largest lender, on Tuesday informed the Delhi High Court that it was withdrawing its plea seeking to restrain employees from disrupting work in view of negotiations started with them. After hearing SBI’s counsel Sanjay Kapur, Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul allowed the Bank to withdraw a petition filed to stop SBI Officers’ Association from disrupting work.

On June 16, a vacation bench of Justice J P Singh had restrained the officers from staging any protest within 500 meters of any of its branch in Delhi Circle as the officers deferred the one-day token strike call given for June 18.
