Vizhinjam: deal for water signed

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Ports M. Vijayakumar said here on Tuesday that the global tender for the construction of an international deepwater container transhipment terminal at Vizhinjam would be issued soon. He was addressing a programme convened to formalise a scheme for water supply to the project site.

The agreement for the water supply scheme was signed at the function. Minister for Water Resources N.K. Premachandran said water sourced from the Vellayani lake would be purified and supplied to the project site.
