‘BDA sites are more an investment’
In response to the Public Eye feature on housing problems, S. Kuppuswamy of I Block, Kalyananagar says: The huge demand for [BDA] sites is not for immediate construction of houses but for investment. Otherwise how one could one explain the existence of thousands of vacant BDA sites?
Mohan M. of Karnataka Layout says: I am one of the unfortunate members of a cooperative society who had invested hard earned money in 1982. The society in Vyalikaval has cheated its members by selling the sites to non-members .
S. Kavitha of Nagarabhavi says: According to the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act 1972, the terrace is a common area and should remain undivided. But builders are making unjustifiable profits at the cost of owners by constructing penthouses on the terrace and selling them at a premium.
