Hacked to death

VIRUDHUNAGAR: P. Muniyasamy (43) was hacked to death by his son Balamurugan (23) at Oomathampatti near Sattur on Tuesday.

The police said Muniyasamy, who lived in Chennai with his second wife, had come to the village to attend a family function. Balamurugan, who is the son through his first wife, demanded partition of wealth. Following a heated exchange, the son hacked him to death.
