Opportunities Fair in Coimbatore on July 7, 8

Special Correspondent

Over 25 companies to participate in the event

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The seventeenth edition of ‘The Hindu Opportunities Fair’ will be held at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Centre, Coimbatore, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 7 and 8. It will be bigger and offer more opportunities than the past fairs.

Six such events have already been organised by The Hindu so far this year, in Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Hyderabad, Madurai, Bangalore and Vishakaptanam. These events together had more than three lakh job aspirants turning up to meet prospective employers from various industry sectors.

All the events had job aspirants not only from the city where the events were held, but also in good numbers from other parts of the State and the neighbouring States as well.

Over 25 companies from the engineering, BPO, ITES, IT and textile sectors are participating in this edition of ‘The Hindu Opportunities Fair.’

Among them, most are top tier companies.

Each of these companies has plans for recruiting in a big way. While each company will have its own specific requirement, the event on the whole would have lots of jobs on offer for graduates/postgraduates and professionals with up to 10 years experience.

Most companies will go through a process of short listing candidates by conducting tests and interviews. While some companies will recruit candidates at the Fair itself, some others will finalise recruitment letters at a later stage.

The candidates can register online at www.thehindu.com or www.tmifirst.com/ hf6/index.aspx.

Once the process of registration is complete, the candidates can take a printout of their registration and walk into the fair to meet prospective employers. They should carry at least 15 printouts of their resume to the Fair.

The event is sponsored and presented by Cognizant, with Reliance Communications as Communications Partner. TMI First is the Technology Partner.
