KOLAR: Kolar Superintendent of Police Ravindraprasad has suspended two police personnel on the charge of dereliction of duties. Asgar Pasha, an undertrial, escaped from police custody when he was being taken to Kolar after attending a court case in Bangalore a couple of days ago. Asgar Pasha was an accused in several murder and extortion cases in Bangalore. The suspended personnel were identified as head constable Subramani and constable Sampangi of the District Armed Reserve. Asgar Pasha was lodged in Kolar Jail and was taken to Bangalore for trial. While returning from Bangalore, Asgar Pasha reportedly gave the slip to the police when the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus in which they were travelling stopped at Narasapur. A complaint has been lodged at the Vemgal police station in this regard. — Staff Correspondent
