Isolated rain in T.N.

CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been active over south interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka, at many places over south interior Karnataka and at a few places over Lakshadweep and north interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema. Kozhikode and Bhagamandala (Kodagu dt.) recorded very heavy rainfall of 14 and 13 centimetres respectively.

FORECAST (valid until Friday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka and Kerala, at many places over south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at a few places over north interior Ka rnataka and north coastal Andhra Pradesh. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Telangana, Rayalaseema and south coastal Andhra Pradesh.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Ghat areas of south interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.
