Deepak, Karthik, Vinod hit tons

BANGALORE: Three centuries marked the KSCA Senior Division Group I league matches played over the last weekend. All encounters petered out into draws.

Deepak Chougle slammed an unbeaten 115 for Swastic Union (1) against Herons CC. In an earlier match, M. Vinod hit 135 for Swastic Union in its drawn encounter with Jawhar SC and C.B. Karthik Kumar hammered 145 for the latter. Good bowling by Nelson Pinto, who finished with a match haul of 12 wickets was the highlight of Bangalore Cricketers’ drawn match with BUCC.

The scores: Bangalore United Cricket Club (1) 191 in 46 overs (Nelson Pinto six for 63) and 158 for nine in 46.3 overs (Ashwath Aiyappa 46, Sudhir Rao 50, Nelson Pinto six for 62) drew with Bangalore Cricketers 335 for nine decl. in 75 .2 overs (C.S. Yathiraj, Stalin Hoover 60, P. Yogesh 57, Crasto 53); Herons CC 310 in 113.5 overs (S. Vinodh 78, S. Prajwal 70) drew with Swastic Union CC (1) 279 for six in 74.3 overs (Deepak Chougle 115 n.o., Abrar Kazi 59); Wadiyar CC 201 for nine decl. in 63.4 overs ( Ravi Kumar 82, Fazal Khaleel 68, Guru Prasad four for 65) and 145 for eight decl. in 53.4 overs drew with Jayanagar Colts 125 in 55.1 overs (Aleem four for 25) and 119 for three in 20 overs (C.L. Akshay 60 n.o.).

Malleshwaram Gymkhana 290 in 90.1 overs (V. Cheluvaraj 53, Manoj Malhotra 54, Yere Goud 72 n.o.) and 177 for five decl (S.P. Manjunath 92) drew with Jawans CC 237 in 65 overs (Manish Pandey 56, R. Jonathan 47); Swastic Union (1) 354 in 83. 3 overs (Vinay Uthappa 45, Daniel Liao 62 , M. Vinod 135, Kunal Kapoor 77, Arjun Shetty four for 91, H.R. Cheluvaraj four for 39) drew with Jawahar Sports Club (1) 351 in 117 overs (C.B. Karthik 145, L. Prashanth 53, B.V. Shashank 37 n.o., Chandra five for 141); Social Cricketers 262 in 69.1 overs (Suraj Sampath 62, Arun Bafn 44, Chetan Chakravarthy 74) drew with Vultures CC 345 for eight in 95.4 overs (Rohan Shan 51, K.V. Bharath 82, Madhystha 62 n.o.)
Inter-school cricket

The Association of Cricket Umpires (ACUK) of Mysore Forum will be conducting an inter-school tournament for Mysore, Mandya and Nanjangud schools at Mysore from the second/third week of July 2007. Selection trials

The KSCA’s Mysore zone will conduct the selection trials for the Mysore Zone U-22 team on July 6th at the Maharaja’s College grounds, Mysore. Players born on or after September 1, 1985 are eligible. The players should be at the ground at 8.30 a.m.
