Alleged thief arrested

NEW DELHI: An alleged thief was arrested with a country-made firearm by the North Delhi police on Wednesday.

According to the police, Neeraj Kumar Yadav (22), who specialised in breaking open the glove compartment of parked vehicles and stealing the contents, was arrested at Lahori Gate following a tip-off.

Pawan allegedly used duplicate keys and a screw-driver to try open the glove-compartment. A live cartridge was also recovered from him, the police said.
