Ambala: Three prisoners escaped from police custody here on Thursday, though one of them was arrested later. The prisoners, who were lodged in Jagraon jail, were brought to Ambala by Punjab Police to be produced in a local court in a dacoity case, sources said. After being produced in the court, the police took them to Kalka Chowk to catch a bus to Ludhiana. While waiting for the bus, they pushed the policemen and fled. The policemen chased them and succeeded in catching one Liaqat Ali. But the other two - Leena and Banjara - managed to escape, they said.
