Taj Mahal frenzy

It is a case of basking in reflected glory. The marble in poetry has come handy for all and sundry to drive mileage. As the campaign to vote for Taj Mahal as the ‘7 new Wonders of World’ picks up, the nation seems to be caught in a frenzy.

A sentimental touch is being given to the whole thing. Models of Taj in silver and other media are being made to whip up passions. At places big hoardings of Taj have come up. Those sponsoring the hoardings are putting up their own pictures below that of the Taj to drive publicity.

A case of making hay when the sun shines.
