All set for Military Games

HYDERABAD: Preparations are in full swing for Military Games scheduled to commence from October 14, though preliminary matches will start a week in advance, a release from Chief Minister’s Office said.
According to the release, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Tourism and other departments concerned to make use of the opportunity and make the city a tourist destination.
Union Defence Minister will flag off a car rally on July 8 from Gachibowli stadium in Hyderabad to mark the countdown of the inauguration of the games.
The Chief Minister, who is also the chairman of the games committee said the role of the State Government was supportive and informed that the games village will be completed by next month.
