32 cremation sheds to be constructed

KARUR: Thirty-two cremation sheds would be constructed in the district during the current year at a cost of Rs. 72.20 lakh under ‘Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam,’ said Collector T.N. Venkatesh.

The sheds would be distributed among the 32 panchayats in eight blocks of the district covering all the four Assembly constituencies. He inspected the construction of a shed at Nalluranpatti in Kadavur panchayat union on Monday and directed the local body officials to expedite the work.
