‘Ladies Specials’ on 66 routes

HYDERABAD: Women commuters can now breathe easy. The RTC will be operating 132 single trips on 66 routes in the twin cities exclusively for the woman passengers during peak hours in a day or two.

The decision to run the ‘Ladies Specials’ was taken following express directions given by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy for operating as many special buses for women as possible.

Dr. Reddy was acting on a representation given on the hardships faced by woman travellers during peak hours. An official press release said these special would be operated on all important routes.
