NEW DELHI: A 22-year-old man was arrested in Janakpuri here on Thursday for allegedly stabbing a minor girl. Raj Kumar, who does embroidery work, attacked the girl, a domestic help, with a pair of scissors when she was on her way to work in the morning, the police said. The victim and her friend were travelling on a cycle-rickshaw near A-5 Block Janakpuri when Raj Kumar, who had been trailing them, tried to speak to her. The girl, however, ignored him. An angry Raj Kumar then allegedly attacked her with a pair of scissors injuring her grievously. When her friend raised an alarm, some passers-by rushed to the spot and beat up Raj Kumar. The girl was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital where she is said to be out of danger. Raj Kumar has been handed over to the police and a case of attempt to murder has been registered against him.
