Chennai: M. Ponnavaikko, Directorate of Research, Virtual Education and International Initiatives, SRM University, Kattankalathur, has been appointed the new Vice-Chancellor of Bharathidasan University, by Governor Surjit Singh Barnala.

Mr. Ponnavaikko will hold office for a period of three years from the date of assumption of office, a press release said.
