Extremists’ custody extended

THENI: The Periakulam Judicial Magistrate Court on Thursday granted five more days to Q-branch police to keep the three extremists arrested in Muruganmalai under its custody for investigation.

The Q-branch had produced the three accused Velmurugan, Muthuselvam and Palanivel before the court and sought extension of custody. The court ordered the police to produce them before the court on July 10.The accused appealed not to grant extension as they were pestered with volley of questions. But their plea was rejected.
